It can be difficult, after relocating, to find all the places and things that made your last location feel like home. Whether it is family activities, farmer’s markets, or a local hot spot for dinner, those little comforts can make all the difference when adjusting to your new home.
Fort Stewart is located outside of Savannah, Ga which is often touted as one of the most beautiful city in the south. Savannah offers a laid-back yet refined atmosphere where music, food, and fun abound. Saturday morning begins with the Forsyth Farmer’s Market on the south end of Forsyth Park, across the street from Brighter Day Foods.

If you are looking to stay a little closer to Fort Stewart, we have our very own farmer’s market on Thursday evenings in Downtown Hinesville, from 4-7pm. It’s a great place to find local produce, honey, baked goodies, meat, and delicious food. We also have a bi-weekly produce co-op run through Bountiful Baskets. See their site to find out more about how it works.
Not far from Savannah, Hinesville boasts a great selection of unique restaurants. For great burgers and 50 different types of chicken wings, head over to Chris’s Curbside Grill, or Izola’s Country Cafe for some of the best Southern food in town.. For authentic German, Zum Rosenhof is the place to go.
Finding your way in a new location can be daunting, but with the help of a Realtor, it can feel like home in no time.
